Services & Technologies

Equine rehabilitation continues to evolve as a field, uncovering remarkable advantages for horses at every skill level. Our commitment lies in working together with fellow professionals to contribute to the progress and knowledge within the realm of equine rehabilitation and performance medicine. We are devoted to ongoing learning and the exploration of innovative approaches. Our ultimate goal is to ensure the well-being and optimal soundness of our equine athletes.

Acupuncture

Science has shown that stimulating acupoints located in areas dense in nerve endings, mast cells, and lymphatic vessels aids in the release of endorphins and serotonin. This can create local or systemic effects which can include pain relief, promotion of circulation, and anti-inflammatory effects.

Cold Saltwater Spa

The spa is great for rehab & performance. It can be used for soft tissue injuries, cellulitis, arthritis. laminitis, wound healing, and to support recovery post competition.

Dynamic Stabilization System (Equestride Boot)

A therapeutic system for the improved management of flexor tendon and suspensory ligament injury in horses. The Equestride Boot has multiple settings with varying levels of support of extension of the fetlock enabling a fully controlled exercise regime during injury rehabilitation.

EQ Press

The EQ Press is a patented pneumatic dynamic compression device we designed to fit the contours of your horse’s front and back legs all the way up to the elbows and stifles. Because of this, the EQ Press is able to actively push lymph fluid up and out of your horse’s legs in order to help remove waste products and metabolites, reduce inflammation, enhance the immune response, and promote overall health.

EquiCore Resistance Bands

Research shows that using resistance bands can increase range of motion and back displacement. Dynamic stabilization of the back can reduce risk o pain and injury during exercise.

Equine Aqua Treadmill

Our treadmill is an exceptional machine designed to allow the horse freedom to maximize range of motion, straightness, core strength, and back mobility, For rehab or conditioning, It is the primary modality for full body exercise and rehab.

Equine Dry Treadmill

An amazing tool with incline and decline to create straightness, rhythm, and have a controlled gate for rehab or added conditioning.

Equinosis Q with Lameness Locator®

The Equinosis Q with Lameness Locator® software is a real-time, handheld, field-based system that enables a licensed veterinarian to objectively measure lameness in horses with non-invasive inertial sensors.

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT)

Electrohydraulic technology is designed to stimulate tissue and bone formation. PulseVets Versation device utilizes this electrohydraulic source to create the most effective shock waves for medical purposes.

FES (functional electrical stimulation)

FES is used to stimulate sensory and motor nerves with low voltage pulses to trigger deep muscle movement. This therapy is effective in improving muscle strength, reduction of adhesions, and improved recovery by recruiting fast twitch muscle fibers that are not typically reached with low level rehabilitation exercises.

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) Therapy

Research supports that PEMF is non-invasive and helpful for musculoskeletal pain. This therapy increases blood flow to skeletal muscle which continues after treatment. Much like the increase gained during exercise, this elevated blood flow enhances nutrient delivery and facilitates gas exchange in active or injured tissues.

RLT Class IV Laser

The RLT is a high-intensity laser delivering photons, which produce regenerative properties, into the injured tissue. The short powerful laser pulses create acoustic waves that uniquely assist in the release of growth factors which are necessary for tissue repair.

Sleip

Markerless lameness diagnostics on your phone. Sleip develops the only diagnostic application that uses artificial intelligence (AI) motion analysis to identify lameness straight from video.

Ultrasound Tissue Characterization (UTC)

For tendon/ligament tissue assessment and rehab programs, scanner technology is used to differentiate between different fiber types. This allows assessment of percentages of healthy aligned fibres, the degree of scar tissue, the severity of a lesion, and the effect on the tendon at the current exercise level-all in one scan. We work closely with a veterinarian in Ireland with over a decade of experience with this technology to help create plans and assess the images.

Vitafloor Vibration Stall

The Vitafloor has whole body vibrations that has research supporting accelerated hoof growth and improvement in topline musculature. A perfect noninvasive tool for many rehab conditions.
