Join AAEP Horse Owner Education Committee members Allie Catalino, DVM, and Chelsea Folmar, DVM, DACVIM, for an in-depth discussion about the two most common metabolic disturbances in horses: Cushing’s Disease and Insulin Dysregulation. They will take your clients on a deep dive into diagnosis, treatment and management of these diseases, followed by discussion about laminitis, a common sequela.

Meet The Speakers:

Dr. Catalino is an ambulatory general practitioner at The Equine Clinic at Oakencroft in her home state of New York. She joined the practice after graduating from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2018, and she has particular interest in lameness evaluation and geriatric care. Dr. Catalino is certified in animal chiropractic and acupuncture, enabling her to adopt a more comprehensive and integrative approach to veterinary care.

Dr. Folmar is a large animal internal medicine specialist at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala. After receiving her veterinary degree from Texas A&M University in 2021, Dr. Folmar completed a rotating internship in Florida and residency program at the University of Georgia. Her research efforts have included endocrine testing and neonatal management, while her professional interests also include critical cases, preventative care, and owner education.
